Two races for the girls, three for the boys
It is getting thrilling in this world championship. Today the wind was hard to predict. The first girls race had to be abandoned due to lack of wind on the western lake side. After a short break on the water, the wind came back again and the race serie could be resumed. Lena Hess is still leading the women's championship, Thomas Palme the men's.
Only one thursday-race due to lack of wind and thunderstorms
The first try for a race was at 10:00am with northern winds. The girls reached the third mark as the wind vanished. The second try with southernly winds, not even a start was possible. Luckily the North came back and allowed one race with up to 4 Bft. to be finished before the thunderstorm came. All sailors safely reached the harbour. Current leadings: Lena Hess and Thomas Palme, both Austrians.

The first four races on Wednesday
Today was a lovely day at lake Achensee. The sun was shining all day and the most important wind was blowing in the morning from south with 2 Bfts, in the afternoon from north with with 4 Bft, up to 5 Bfts. in the gusts. Four fair races could be sailed, three in the morning and one in the afternoon. Lena Hess from Austria leads the women championship right now with three winnings, Hvam Jon Alexander from Norway the men.
